Women in a Berlin care facility found the pandemic hard, but as a wartime generation, they’d seen difficult times before: “The pandemic was tough, but we did not freeze and we did not starve.” One of the hardest things was the closing of all sports activities, and the relief was great when dancing, swimming and gymnastics were possible again.
